Last year I teamed up Christopher Carter to help build a portable shower for Camp United We Stand (a county sanctioned homeless camp that moves between church parking lots in the Shoreline area). Christopher is a member of the camp.

We designed it ourselves using mostly resin, corrugated plastic, and FRP paneling and built it in my garage.

Today I was talking with Christopher and he told me that the camp recently got a new member who has been homeless since he had an accident 16 months ago. During those 16 months, he has been living under a viaduct has not showered the entire time! This week he moved into the camp and was able to use the shower that we built. I can’t imagine how that would be, but apparently the man found it transformative and life changing.

I’m glad that Chris and I were able to provide this shower for him.

I love this so much!!!!
