Last Friday (August 16th) my daughter Madeline and I attended a Robert Plant & Allison Krause concert at Chateau Michelle Winery in Woodinville. The show was sold out long before I heard about it, but luckily my son Wyatt’s college roommate works at the venue and was able to get us in for free.
This is the third time that I have seen Robert Plant live. The first time I saw him was in 1993 in Houston and Jimmy Page unexpectedly came on stage and they played six Led Zeppelin songs together!
I am mostly unfamiliar with Allison Krause and the music that they have made together, but it was clear that Robert Plant is enjoying himself at this stage of his life. They shared the stage together very nicely, and at times he’d play the maracas and sing backup for her music. They did perform a few old Led Zeppelin songs, but they have rearranged them to fit their joint style (a mixture of rock and country). In the Mood actually sounds good with a fiddle!
Madeline prepared an excellent charcuterie.
